Im at sea for another few weeks. I’d be down to host a stop. Would be nice to see others set ups. Just need to pull the trigger on a date.

These are the destinations that I have so far:

ducatithunder: Annapolis, MD
Shifted: Lovettsville, VA
Vicegrip: Woodstock, VA

I agree with the proposal that we do two days. One for MD (which is just ducatithunder's place right now), and one for VA.

For dates, let's vote:

VA:
-May 13
-June 3

MD:
-July 15
-August 5th

If those don't work for you, then suggest some other dates.

And if you're on the list to host, and can't or don't want to host, please correct me If you're not on the list and do want to host, also please speak up. No garage too small, no mechanic too shady...wait, I've been watching too much Paw Patrol with my daughter!

We also need to be clear on how long we're going to spend at the destinations. I don't want to impose on anyone and I don't mind a time cap. Can the hosts let us know what time of day and duration works for you?

Myself and fellow Dorki and next door neighbor Dave O would be open to do a 2fer in July. Willing to make it an afternoon event for anyone wanting to put their car up on a lift to change fluids or pads. This is how I got to meet many Dorkis and Potomac members almost 20 years ago, when engine drops and wrenching were a frequent and community event. Sadly, my Mean Green Machine will be going back to a previous owner who presented me an offer I can’t refuse. Would be nice to get some Porsche guys around again before I send my beloved off to the west coast.

I'd be happy to add this one to the VA tour (McLean) if there is any interest.

I may be the only MD guy. Don’t hold this up on account of me. My current schedule with work wont allow anything until mid/late August. I wouldn’t be opposed to hosting a fluids day either.

Leiden, Dave and I still reside in Maryland, if you recall you been at my house. We are though somewhat geographically distant which may not facilitate a garage hopping day. I would love to check out your new place since you moved from the city. Hopefully we can get something going on multiple dates if need be.

Woodstock is a nice drive. Shop not quite same layout as old one but all the junk, more sf and still has a couple crusty pre 73 Porsches lounging around. Grounds and access are not urban but most any Porsche can make it with the undercarriage intact. Lots of dogs, ducks, trees and rocks all arranged on a steep ass mountain.

Some good roads that’d lend themselves well to a sporty car in the area. The road up and over Wolf gap for one. It is my setup wring out road.

The Vicegrip experience is worth the drive, though GPS is pretty sketchy. Want to take home some duck eggs this time

I can supply detailed information for the last mile. . “When you think you are hearing banjo music you are almost there” is included.
June 3 works here.
