The crank case cover breather on the 2.7 engine i'm using has a magnesium cover. I want to weld on a aluminum bung on to it but obviously you can't weld aluminum to magnesium. So my question is do early engines have aluminum breather covers as well as later 3.0 and so on ? Lastly if they do make aluminum crank case breather covers does anyone have one to sell? Thanks

Early sandcast aluminum cases and the SC and later cases all used aluminum breather caps.
