In my somewhat limited experience, the Elephant rubber bushings are about the best available for the front lower controls arms for a street car. They are on the expensive side, though, but come some tools to help with the installation.
I put the Elephant bushings on my 914 a couple of years ago. Job wasn't too bad and they ride and handle nice. If you decide to buy some other brand bushings, you're welcome to borrow the tools. You probably want to stay away from the urethane or "racy" bushings, since they'll ride more harshly and will make noise (usually squeaking).

Heat and a dull flat chisel. Next up is a 4wd front end socket. I never had to go past the heat and beat method.

I'll measure tomorrow if you dont find it by then. With this method you might use the harbor freight kit then cobble any missing pieces with parts/tools you have on hand.
But, heat is the way to do this. Flat chisel and/or punch after some torch time and they come off.
