Wholesale for the Gold 996 should be about 15K, depending on close up condition

'76-77 Turbos are like other mid-years.. less desireable. As mentioned, smaller brakes (essentially 911S brakes) and less hp. Rated for US consumption at 234hp (Europe was around 250-260hp, iirc). Ha! A "wonged" 3.2 has the same hp and smoother delivery to boot.

On the otherhand, their production numbers are very small and as a result, for some, would be considered very valueable. Also a great base to make your own 934 Plus it was the first 911 to really scare people when driven poorly

Should have 16" wheels (7/8" widths), but given the small brakes, maybe it came with 7/8 x 15s?
4 speed (like all turbos till '89)
No intercooler as mentioned.
Likely smaller TB and Sways than the '78+ cars too.
Its Beige!

32... no wonder it still under a cover in her garage. While low miles and rare, you would have to really really want a '77 to even bother. For $32k there are a LOT of other cars vying for my attention and I would bet everyone of them is more enjoyable!

A friend emailed her a few days ago and she said nothing less than $30K. Reading her answers to his questions, the car sounds pretty interesting if someone wanted to make it into a show car. I think she said it has 38k miles but needed the exhuast put on??

I've talked to her as well.. car has an interesting history, has been local all it's life and was sold new at Heishman's. Agree that it would make an interesting car to show but at that price it just ain't gonna happen.

Her asking price would buy a really nice later model (78 on) turbo in running condition! Not to mention the other cars in that price range.

I looked at this car last weeekend. It is beautiful, paint is like new, interior is amazing. Truly an amazing car. I would suggest that this is a show car used to collect blue ribbons. Engine needs some cleanup and reassembly. I have no idea of value, but it is a fine example.

She got worked over on earlyS after yanking peoples chains repeatedly (the early turbo). No shortage of people willing to pay very good money for that car.

Were she actually willing to sell i can almost say for fact that car would be long gone. It is most likely well worth $30k. She'd be wise to have a good shop put it back together. Turned another fellow on to it and he was ready to write a check so my guess is she is still playing games.

It is a VERY desirable car with that color combo.

She has a tremendous amount of sentimental value for this car. Unfortunatly, in my opinion, that does not translate into extra dollars from a buyers perspective.

It is a really nice car, that has been sitting disassambled for a number of years. It is impossible to evaluate the condition of anything mechanical or electrical in its current state, but the paint and interior are really nice. Best case is... all the parts are there, you put it back together, and everything works fine. I hate to even think about the worst case scenario.

Welcome to Las Vegas Amigo !

Best of luck to everyone.

She is a loon yanking chains and has no intention of selling the car. Like trying to buy real estate from a damned farmer. 'Oh you want what i have? Perhaps you'd be willing to pay more....'. Nonsense if you ask me.
