Similar to being offered my yellow SC back recently. I missed those fat hips but I sold it for a reason. Now it’s being turned into a 935 replica I think.

That's how I should be thinking about my R65. When I wanted to ride it, the battery needed to be charged or the carbs made it a bitch to start. It was slow (fine by me). But when I think back on it, I had touched nearly every bolt on that thing and when I see others I remember what I had learned and the fun times. The new (2004) starts right up. Like a 996 vs an old SC, sorta.

This was the reason for selling my 240Z. And thus....the foray into station wagons and minivans.

I don’t regret selling but would like another bite at the apple.

1970 914 GT w/3.2 Conversion

2016 GT4

Both of these required lots of care and feeding, the main reason that they were kicked to the curb.

One more added to the list, I regret selling this one.

1970 911t converted to a short hood.

They all made room for a some very nice cars

We are just over 1/2 way through the year so it’s only four. Sold two and purchased two others. Unless you count the car I purchased for my son Joseph

I’m holding out for a 😇 car

The only car I'd really regret selling was my E36 M3 sedan. Wonderful car all around.

The others?? Some of them I'd like to take for a spin for nostalgia's sake, but none I'd really want to own again. Like others, each was sold for a reason. Maybe I just buy crappy cars??

For me it would be my 1950 Harley! Like your R65 I knew every bolt and bit on it. Rebuilt engine in basement of townhouse in Manassas in ‘72. Unlike your bike it started first time every time! Sold it for tuition money. But would pay a pretty penny to get it back!
