I live near Goose creek, 2 years ago lady in neighborhood stepped out of front porch for a smoke at midnight, juvenile copperhead bit her ankle, ER trip & she said her leg was swollen for a month. Juveniles are evidently more potent than adults.

True per my grandfather who was bit as a child by a copperhead. He said he was sick for a month.... IMO Copperheads are OK to kill, esp if they're in your home. They can be aggressive too.

My dad was bitten when I was a kid by some really bright green snake in Hilton Head. Almost lost his arm..pretty scary.
