Default Ferrari California T

Angela and I both got to drive California T's. She drove a red one top up and I drove a blue one top down. 3.85L twin turbocharged 570HP, 570lbft. Really nice. Great right seat pro along for the ride, very professional, and I didn't take the walk of shame. Thank you Ferrari of Washington! It was great. The new auto shifters just can't be beat. I think I'm coming around to preferring them over a manual.

The first picture is Angela with a normally aspirated 4.8L 2014 model. We drove the 2015 Twin turbos that you can see in the background of the second picture.

oh puhlease, Greg. That's Belmont Manor, at the Belmont Country Club. We showed up in a Honda CRV, to valet parking.

I've lived in Leesburg 8 years - didn't know about that house. Very cool.

Yeah, Bob, you bogarted those rides to us locals! Looks like so much fun!
Greg, its the big manor house across from Lansdowne where they used to have summer concert series. Now its part of the country club.

Also drove one of the new California T's. It is a very powerful car, much more so than the previous non turbos. They are pushing this model as an every day driver and I think it may be the least expensive Ferrari. Many "normal" features on car, like front and rear camera's, power steering wheel adjustment, power rear deck lid, etc.

One thing that I found interesting is that with Ferrari's 7 speed dual clutch you cannot select what was race mode and is now ESC (or something) off and drive efficiently in automatic. It reverts to normal street driving with up shifts at relatively low rpm's. This is a significant difference from Porsche's PDK, which permits driving in automatic at the track. However, in manual (paddle shifters) the shifts are lightening fast.
