I saw this 74 yesterday in a parking lot on Rt 1 near CARMAX in Laurel with a for sale sign. I did a quick walk around but didn't talk with the owner. The car appears to have SC/Carrera flares and a turbo chin spoiler. My Corvette buddy called it a "50 footer". It looks great from 50 feet, but the closer you get ....

What about it specifically made it a "50 footer". Looks like it would be a good platform for a track sled. $10.5 obo, if it has been for sale long enough the seller may just be ready to unload it to the first offering he/she gets.

I agree it could be a good track sled. I would consider it myself if I didn't have one too many Porsches in my garage (according to my wife). The car is a black Porsche with chrome fuchs and a tail. From 50 feet and beyond it looks like a nice SC or Carrera - definitely attracts attention. However, up close the quality of the paint, panel fit and overall condition become apparent.

OK a couple of things; ’74s came with a 2.7 engine w/CIS injection. No throttle body either after or before market.

K&N never made carburetors, though it does look like K&N airfilters over carbs, maybe webers, maybe zenith?

The seat is listed as “a seat”

POS, $5.5K max from someone likely not from around here.

Adding another $10k and many months of time and sweat on top of the high sell price to fix up all the deferred maintenance and worn out stuff will get you an OK $8K car. 74 is not late enough to be all over galvanized so it is prone to rust like a long hood but is not light like a long hood. Worst of both worlds IMO.
