Default Auto AC repair in NoVA?

My moms 2002 GMC Envoy seems to have an AC leak...looked like coolant leak, but her shop said it was an AC condenser leak.

The problem is they recharged the system and didn’t offer the option of a bad condenser repair until after the bill (rolls eyes). If she knew that she’d have sprung for it to be fixed right for a little more money.

Anyway, are there AC specialty shops anymore that can evaluate/estimate and fix if it makes $ sense? If so, any suggestion is welcome.

We’ll try to hold her shops feet to the fire for a discount on past work done they had to know would fail, but not hopeful they will hook us up.

Thanks,
