Lots of options, thankfully. If I can save time on a job its $$, if its my work it lets me get more things done in the limited time I have. The Gearwrench XL 10mm is 9.5" vs 6.25" long for the standard wrench. edit. Found another options thats 12.4" long, so almost 2x the standard. Winner winner, chicken dinner.

As others have stated: simply longer. If not in a tight area I greatly prefer them as they provide more leverage and just feel nicer to work with in my hands.

Default Project Cart

Spotted this cart being used on one of the weekend car shows. Very well built, shelves fold up for easy storage, and can be nested if you store more than 1.

Doesn't look big enough to store the 944 parts cars...

Check body shop equipment supply websites. Body shop guys have a thing for parts carts. All sorts of formats.

Not sure if this is what you're looking for, but I just picked up these: amazon link. Saw them recommended in a video about changing the alternator in a Lexus ES350 by a pro mechanic. Supposedly this is the generic but same thing as the ones sold for a lot more money on the tool trucks. Well built, long and slim work well to get to the front of FWD engines.

Thanks, good info. Ended up with the GearWrench 120XP 86126 set, not sure I'll every use a few of them but they are really nice. The 10mm is just over 12" long, exactly what I needed. Such a time saver its not funny. Thankfully I have deep drawers in the new box!
