On a car without antilock, release characteristics can save you from flat-spotting tires. Ask me how I know...

Since no one else has given a PFC testimonial, I've been using PF08's on my 718S and have been very happy with them. I have not tried Pagit or other brands though so I have no basis for comparison. I will say that instructors right-seating with me are frequently surprised and comment on hard I can brake with them and RE-71Rs. I'm now running Coleman 2-piece solid/vented rotors in the front. I got 6 & 7 track days out of my past two sets of front pads.

I have heard that at least one person in an older gen Cayman (I think 987.2 but not positive) had ice pedal with PF08s, and switching to Pagit Yellows solved the problem. I've never had that in the 718- but it's newer.

i will add to the PFC recommendation. PFC08 is the perfect track day pad. it is an endurance racing pad so it has smooth bite, lasts a long time and has high coefficient of friction. i recommend them to all my students, and i use them in endurance racing. can't go wrong using them.

I only used PFCs on my M3 and I can't say much except I never found a reason to switch.

I've used PFC11, PFC08, and Pagid Yellow(f)/Black(r) on my 964. They all worked well, but I prefer the 08. Just feels smoother, seemed to bite better, and seemed to work better in more ranges. My pagids also squeal when they get hot, which is annoying.

Otto, I’ll second the thumbs up for Ferodo. I like the 1.11 the best. The 3.12 and Dsuno both have more bite (less pedal pressure to get same deceleration), but are too much brake for all but real race tires (such as Pirelli DH slicks). It’s too easy to get into abs with those, especially if track is less than perfect.
