Default Jim Bean’s fire!

Over night Warehouse fire destroys 40k barrows of happiness! Price of JB likely will go up or at least be harder to get.

I know it's different but I was just at Jack Daniels for a tour. Well worth it. Anyhow, they have various barrel houses all over the place to keep them separate should lightning strike or something. I was out on the back roads and found one of the storage areas....not really a secret but not really publicized either.

Quote of the day:

Fire officials in Kentucky are letting a fire burn through a Jim Beam warehouse containing 45,000 barrels of bourbon to avoid water contamination. “It’s about the best-smelling fire I’ve ever been at,” a local fire official said

Funny you should mention that... I ended-up in Lexington Kentucky a couple of weeks ago for business. Didn't realize it was part of the "Bourbon Trail."

Made time for a couple of distillery tours, one being Buffalo Trace which makes the hard-to-come-by Pappy Van Winkle..

They will have you know that Jack Daniels is not bourbon. It's ....major pause (remove hat)... Tennessee Whisky.

Tour was worth every penny.... The malting mash is nasty smelling...they have you take a big whiff. It got all in my beard...I rode my motorcycle to the tour...the next day my helmet still smelled where it rubbed off.

Quite aware, especially considering the amounts consumed over the year.. Merely associating the tour of a distillery.. not sure how you missed that.

I'm not good at reading.

No ill intent. I guess the humor doesn't translate over the web.

It was supposed to be funny. Our tour guy would stop the tour and go through tht routine every time bourbon was brought up.
