Unhappy Where to repair bent rims???

Took some roadwork hard yesterday now there's some vibration in my '03 996 Cab, which I suspect is an "out of round" rim(s). These are OEM Porsche rims (chromed). I have had this problem before with other alloy rims. Anyone ever have this problem with Porsche rims and any suggestions on repair shops...???

first things first - welcome! you should go to the first sticky on the Miscellaneous Discussions thread and "introdouche yourself". dorki is a small community where many of the members know one another. that being said...

i'm sure other, more knowledgable blowhards will chime in ( ) but arent the 996 rims aluminum? isnt there an old adage that "aluminum bends once...not twice"? even my used 997 lobster fork rims in good condition are dirt cheap on ebay and elsewhere. i'd vote that a new set would prob be better.

i've had Al rims successfully repaired at ye olde wheel shop, jessup, md.

6363 Washington Boulevard Elkridge, MD 21075
(410) 796-8400

There are other repair facilities available, probably can search this forum for them.

Intersport has used someone that has a traveling truck (I can't recall the name). They can either pickup & return, or sometimes fix on the spot.

Another on this board has also used Wheel Doctor (301.651.6186).

Ye Olde Wheel Shoppe or just bring it to the fantastic folks at Radial Tire and see if they can fix it in house (they have done so for me) or if they cannot, they will send it out and get it fixed (they have done that for me too). Welcome. I'm new here too.

Another nod to Ye Olde Wheel Shoppe in Elkridge, MD. They took care of several Fuchs alloys for me over the years. Don't risk having an amateur play around with your wheels. Get 'em done right and enjoy peace of mind.

Might be a dumb question but I'll ask it anyway..do these shops repair curb rash on alloy wheels? Turning in wifey's E350 in 3 weeks and she's done a number on the right side wheels.
