A shout out to Race Proven Results (RPR=Behe)
We are all quick to complain about shops from time to time so this is another one of my shout outs to a shop I have been to and have once again been very happy with the outcome, Race Proven Results (RPR) John Behe in MD.
Most of us more tenured people know him but not everyone does. I had him tune the chip in my 964 almost four years ago when I first got my car. Now after my recent engine build at ASG I went back to John Behe and he did a great job and I am happy with my results. We didn't do anything crazy, just made the necessary air/fuel ratio changes for .DOS car. There are other reputable shops in our area that may be capable to do this as well but I have had a positive experience at RPR (Behe).

I'll second that. I just took my 14 Boxster to them for 40K maintenance. All done in one day as promised, and, at a fair price.

I had John tune my car today, and I’m glad I did. Found out I had a Cyntex chip in there, which had some whacked out timing and fuel maps. Apparently, they used to break 944 engines in half and the only thing saving mine was the knock sensor.
Went back to more stock settings and picked up 5 hp and 5 ft/lbs everywhere. Did a little more work to even out the AFR and got nice improvements everywhere, including 10hp and 11 torque at 5k, even with a previous power chip in there. Partial throttle drivability is much improved. The car pulls everywhere now. Time to try the go cart at autocross again. It was fascinating talking to him too

Behe tuned my 1978 911s. The ones that won the 2018 PCA Club Racing national championship in stock E class.

Granted my '86 911 race car started out underpowered with 195 HP at the wheels, but Behe just put in the correct chip tuned for modern gas and did some tweaks, fixing fuel-related parts that were sub-par and I ended up with 215 HP - a markedly noticeable difference. My favorite (and oft-quoted) Behe line: "What part of Porsche racing did you think wasn't going to be expensive? Was it the 'Porsche' part or the 'racing' part?"

Randy Gross would be worth talking to as well sometime. He has experience with them, I believe.
