Default Service Light Reset Western Loudoun

Hey folks,

Is there a shop or an individual in Western Loudoun that can reset the service light on my 997.2? If an individual, happy to throw in $20 or a six pack of your beer of choice.

Many thanks in advance.

Serge

I'm sure Intersport in Leesburg can do it.

Hiya neighbor -- I'm in Purcellville area (Philomont) as well.
Just called up Intersport and they have a 1-hour minimum which is $168+taxes... for a 5 min job.

In my humble opinion, they should do these as a courtesy and I'd use them for bigger jobs when they come up but maybe the world doesn't work that way anymore.

It'd be cheaper to get one of these from Amazon: iCarsoft Auto Diagnostic Scanner POR V2.0 for Porsche with ABS Scan,Oil Service Reset ect

I'm surprised if you are a regular customer of Intersport that they want to charge you this much. I could understand charging people who are not customers, though. Most people who would want something like that for free are not the ones who will turn into long-time customers -- they will always be shopping around and looking to shave a buck or two here and there. BTW, you may be able to code for <$40 and DIY it unless it can only be reset by a Porsche diagnostic computer.

Please note you may have to wait at least a week after a reset before you can be tested at a VA Emissions station. I had this issue a year or two back; had to drive the car a few more days before the testing computer would allow the testing (code reading?) to be run.

Thanks for letting me know about it but I'm not seeing the deal anywhere. Showing full price on Amazon for the link you pasted and for the newer version that they have out. Am I missing something on the Amazon site? Thanks again.

Assuming I get one of these tools and someone in the area sees this in the future, I'd be happy to reset for you.

Thanks. Didn't realize I had to add to cart to apply the code.

I bought it. Offer stands for anyone that needs to reset service lights in the future.

Here is another diagnostics tool. I’ve used it on the 04 GT3 and 08 BMW 535i works great.
