Default Referral Needed - NoVa Attorney for Domestic Violence

Got a acquaintance who is up Shit's Creek right now. His soon-to-be-ex-wife reported him for assault this past weekend. He spent a good part of Saturday getting booked, etc., and had a court appearance this morning. He needs to get an attorney ASAP. He does not have Porsche-money; he has a low-paying hourly job. This is going to be a real struggle for him. He's a nice kid, and he needs help.

Thanks in advance for any referrals/ recommendations.

Why does the system always assume this is true.. Had a friend that rented a house to a crazy ex of his while the house was up for sale as she needed somewhere to go temporarily. She kept making passes/advances at him, and then hindering the sale of the house during showings. He finally told her she had to leave, she asks him to come over to discuss, takes 2x4 or something and socks herself in the face with it, calls the cops, and says he assaulted her for not moving out. Drama to the next level

Sadly this guy married a bi-polar woman who also happens to like to drink... Supposedly that could be a bad combination...

Its so sad how many people's brain works this way. I believe that some is beyond their control. But I'll best most are suffering from learned behavior.

Oh my! Yes, scary to say the least!

I went out with an attorney a few times that began to exhibit, shall we say a bit bizarre behavior from time to time, sometimes very normal, other times like it just wasn't clicking, yet could remember anything you said to her. I happened to need some tweezers one day while visiting her, and she said to look in the bathroom medicine cabinet, I did and discovered several medications.. happened to read a couple of labels.. and one was a lithium and whatever cocktail. Asked a Dr. friend of mine about this, and she advised me not get further involved, basically she said; "run Forrest, run!!

And yes, it is a sad situation for many
