Default WTB: pair of decklid bumpers

A pair is on its way. Thanks!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I am in sorta-urgent need of a pair of decklid bumpers, part 914-559-253-10. See attached pic:
oem91455925310_1_1.jpg
They are apparently also the same as 901-423-528-00, which is a 356 pedal buffer.

These are the last parts I need before I can reinstall my decklid.

I ordered a set from 914Rubber weeks ago. After waiting over two weeks for the package to actually be delivered (&!$# post office), I found the other parts I ordered and a note. The note said the parts I actually need right away are backordered for at least a month. Arrrgh.

Does anyone have a pair in nice condition to spare? I can either pay you outright for them, or can replace them with new ones when the backorder finally comes in. If I have to, I can order a pair from Stoddard, but they won't get shipped until next week at the earliest.

Might try McMaster Carr. Get something temporary until the exact parts you want materialize.

Could you 3D print them?

No, they're made of rubber, not plastic. Don't know anyone who can 3D print rubber.

Ben says there is a rubber-like 3D printing material, and it's called TPU. Unfortunately you need to get a whole spool of it unless you know someone who has one, and quick-and-dirty search came up with $44/spool. He'll check and see tomorrow if they happen to have any.

He said AutoAtlanta says they have them for only 50% more than 914Rubber.

Thanks for the help, Peter. However, I have a set coming from someone on 914World.

Both AA and SMC are inordinately proud of their bumpers, especially since they were made by 914Rubber.

Glad you found some. I have none.

I bet there's a chance Stoddard gets them from the same place.

Nowadays, its almost better to call and be lied to about a part status or have a chance to have the person actually go to the shelf to see if the part is in stock, then getting the email 1hour/day/week later that says "oh yeah, we're out of that part and not sure when we are getting new ones" Small supply chains and not exactly an item that looks either 1) high margin or 2) high seller to bother to keep on the shelves.
