Default broke the #3 spark plug connecter

I broke the #3 spark plug connecter. Does anyone have an extra or idea how i can replace it this weekend? This car has to be my daily driver for a while starting Monday. Working with a hand in a cast is a bitch.

When you say connector what do you mean?

My 3.2 is out of service for another month or so. Happy to loan you the plug wire while you order a replacement. Can work it tomorrow if you have an interest.

Hey Tito, was going to call you.

doing a valve adjustment and removing the spark plugs. Broke the plastic spark plug wire connector (tube that goes into the head and connects to the spark plug). I used to have extra spark plug wires but threw them out when I sold the 73.

I have an old set of spark plug wires for my 914. It's possible one of the longer spark plug connectors will work (it has 2 short and 2 long connectors). They are yours if you want them.

Hey Bill I will try them. No idea if the distributor connector or length of the plastic tube that connects to the spark plug is the same.

How can I reach you?

How did you manage to break a spark plug connector?

Its not difficult and do it often . The plug wire would not come off the spark plug so i used a screw driver to leverage it off and broke the top of the plastic connector off. Ordered a new set of wires and have it jerry rigged for now using a generic wire from PetBoys. Long and yellow but is working until new wires arrive. I only have one hand as other is in a cast so had to improvise.

Great news is the valve adjustment was a success. Most of the valves were tight, confirming my diagnosis as to why it idled rough and was down on power. Runs much better now after major tune up. Cap/rotor, oil, valve adjustment, Iridium sparkplugs and soon new spark plug wires. Also tightened front bearings, replaced rear brakes, changed brake fluid, fixed sunroof and got it inspected. Ben a busy week.

I guess with one hand you could not get video of you removing the valve covers with one hand. Can you draw a picture series of the process?
