1999 BMW M3 coupe, 5-speed manual, black on black leather, sunroof, COLD AC, Dinan Stage 1 suspension with Koni shocks, lots of records.
I bought this car from a personal friend in late February of 2016. Both he and one of his daughters used the car in various capacities during his ownership. It was parked “on the street” in Baltimore for several years and has a few scars to prove it (various dings, scrapes, etc). I believe it was hit once while parked…don’t know the extent of damage. Car tracks true and holds alignment. There are MANY records going back to, I think, about 135,000 miles. Car now has just over 200K. Neither I nor the prior owner (who owns a 911 GT3 RS among others) skimped on maintenance. The battery, tires, and brakes are all new within last few thousand miles.

Overall the car presents well but shows wear commensurate with it’s age and miles. There are a few dings, a scrape and small dent on hood, the rear lower bumper has multiple scrapes from parking, and a small area of paint bubbling at windshield molding top of driver’s side. I see no other rust or paint bubbling visible on exterior. I have not been under the car so I don’t know how things look down there. The interior has a crack-free dash and clean carpets. There are no odors. The bolsters on driver’s seat show typical wear but are not torn. The passenger seat has a gash on the insert about shoulder level. The headliner has started to sag in a couple spots. The computer works and show no errors or burned out pixels. Stock radio is installed. I can’t think of anything that doesn’t work inside. The air is fully COLD and functioning.
The mods to the car include a Dinan Stage 1 suspension with Koni adjustable shocks. The weak U.S. headlights were swapped out for DDM Tuning HID lights with Angel Eyes. These units replace the cheap plastic lenses with glass and the high beams are REALLY bright. There is a UUC short shifter installed as well. You get 2 sets of wheels/tires. Pictured are ASA 17x8 with Sumitomo HTZs. You also get the factory wheels with Blizzaks.
The car runs and drives well. It is plenty quick by the standards of the day. Handling is taught and responsive without being overly firm. This could easily be a 1-car solution for a daily driver that can double as a track or autocross car.
