Default E39 LKM Help.. PA Soft or similar?

Looks like my LKM/Light Control Module has gone on the fritz. Right turn signal is permanently on and the brights don't work when "flashed". It started after I put a battery tender on the car so I'm doubtful the turn signal stalk is at fault.

Does anyone have a BMW scanner who would be willing to assist? I'm in Waldorf, MD/Charles County but will travel to wherever is convenient for you.

After doing some research, it appears I can use any LKM from the same year or newer. My 540i is a 2001, so I doubt your LKM would work.

Hoping someone here has PA Soft or similar and an open heart for hard luck cases.

I don't know that there are many who own the pa soft system on the board...haven't heard it mentioned here before...might be easier to just take it to a local bmw shop and have them read the codes (is that what PA soft does?)

I may have to. Between the Bentley manual and internet lore, the LKM must be coded to the DME and the odometers synced to ensure correct function. I miss the days of actual relays and fuses.
