You are overthinking it again, loctite and lock washers? Safety wire too? ~30 ft lbs. = m8 ~55 ft lbs =m10.

Make sure you have the same bolt length and size as the ones you removed. They can come through the flange on the tranny side and prevent wheel turning if the bolts are to long.

I have the correct bolt length now.the nord-lock is about 2mm thick..the web says when using their wedge washers use the chart ..they have dry assembly and wet assembly..I was going to use blue loctite wit the washers for extra security..

LOcktite only works if the threads are clean and grease free. It is also heat sensitive and CV joints get hot. YMMV but I don’t bother with it on this kind of application. The proper locking washers, fresh bolts and proper torque works well.

Has anybody here ever had a CV bolt come loose? I haven’t.

Have seen it a time or two. Once on a 914 once on a 911 after the bolts were not installed properly.

Good anti theft device, but maybe a little inconvenient.

A couple a tech. Loose enough to see movement checking shafts.
