Default Need Advice on shopping for Health Insurance

Need Advice on shopping for health insurance for my Son. He is over 26 and has some pre-existing issues. Never had to shop for this before and have no idea where to start. Are there brokers available to start the process?
Thanks in advance for the help

I'm not an expert, but we've been through some issues relative to our son who has some learning disabilities. If your son has any disabilities, physical or cognitive, he may be eligible for some State assistance, which may make him eligible for Medicare and/or Medicaid. Otherwise, after age 26, he has to purchase his own health insurance. The only other advise I can give is that support/assistance doesn't come to you....you have to go look for it. Be his advocate, and programs vary state to state.

What does he do? Getting insurance through a large organization (e.g. government employee after the government opens again, Google, Amazon, etc.) works well for pre-existing conditions. I know Maryland has their own law, and I believe it's currently Federal although might disappear next year, to require insurance companies to cover pre-existing conditions so long has there hasn't been a break in coverage..
