Default FS our "arrest me red" '99 996 C2

Down sizing fleet Trak Ratt so it’s time to say good-by to our trusty 996! Honestly it needs some work after sitting idle since I tore a tendon in my leg last year and the price reflects that. This is a very fast and very well sorted ‘99 C2. Current mileage is ~110K, with the stock 3.4L engine being replaced at ~78K with a 3.6L engine tuned by Rock and Protomotive. I have a Dyno sheet that shows 299 RWHP with mufflers but no cats (cats are included with sale). Car was well optioned originally w/the factory Aero Kit including the “taco tail” w/matching lower body cladding. It also came w/LSD, Traction Control, M030 Sport Suspension, and heated sport seats. It has a GT3 front bumper, with the 3rd. radiator, 3.8 X51 headers, X51 oil pan, Fabspeed Exhaust, Fabspeed Cat Bypass pipes w/Fabspeed Muffler Bypass Pipes and a Light weight flywheel (LWFW).

More recent work includes:
  • Rear toe arms (06/13)
  • Fiskse FM5 wheels w/Toyo Proxes all season tyres
  • Coil packs and sparkplugs and ignition switch, complete clutch, IMS kit, rear main seal (05/14)
  • Power Steering pressure, reservoir lines and expansion tank (05/15)
  • Replacing original 2004 US GT3 suspension with Bilstein Sport shocks and struts, w/HR Pro Springs (01/16) .
  • New Alternator, main battery cable, Tarret drop links (01/16)
That’s the good, the bad is:
  • The clear coat has failed on the tail with a small patch on the roof and another on the hood
  • Interior has some mildew that will need attention (didn’t realize the window was a wee pit open while I was laid up with the tendon issue
  • Air bag is on (code 48, belt buckle passenger side)

Price: $15,000

^ of course, tires and wheel as pictured. Forgot to mention we have FP97 pads all around. Will include a new set of better than OEM but not track worth pads with sale. Also have the original owners manual and radio code.

Any pics of the failing paint? Interior pics? would seem like a modern equivalent of the SC/3.2 folks were buying up just 15 years ago ...

The want is strong for this one. But too many cars in the driveway and packed in the garage. Did it sell?

Still available! Been working through the issues above. Had the interior professionally cleaned and defunded. Oil leak was a simple failed oil filter gasket. Working getting the leaky window seal repaired. Will probably get the state inspection this week.
