Some updates. Outside mostly done. Windows and doors installed. They need to come back and finish wrapping with tyvek. Did the electrical rough in's the past 2 weekends. Progress much slower since I am working on the project now. Waiting for inspections this week.

Some of the Tyvek is upside down. Sheesh.

Looking good. Your builder is taking good care of the yard too. No massive pile O con debris and the like.

Yeah. I complained about the Tyvek alignment too....

Builder has been pretty good with clean up. However, I have taken advantage of our AAA trash service and filling the trash cans with scraps every week since we started. The trash truck loves coming by might house... The truck driver has to come out and manually load whatever trash and excess building materials I leave curbside.

What is left is material I am saving to use as I completed the interior.

I love the fact that you're still calling this a "garage build"

Great progress, thanks for the updates.

I'm still moving into my space, been pulling wire and wondering why I did this or that.. everything made sense at the time. I think.

What did you end up doing with the fireplace?

Got some quotes to relocate the vent and it was much higher that I expected. I have never used the fireplace the 3 years I have lived here. So, for now, I am going to disconnect and decommission it. For the amount that it cost to re-vent the fireplace, I can just replace it with possibly an electric unit.

Good thinking. As mentioned earlier the ventless option is there if you want the looks and occasional use. Otherwise... have fun in the garage!

That is an impressive addition. You ought to hold an open house to show it off.
