Default Classic stuff at Summit

Looking at 928's online and came across this gem. The ending is hilarious.

Jeeees, I’d totally forgotten the main gate road wasn’t even paved back then! Looked like they were pushing the Z a lot harder thanThe 28.

Even the ride out route 7 looks different now.

First went to Summit Point in 1979 for the Porsche Parade. Saw Chuck Stoddard spin his 917, more than once, entering the carousel.

Saw a 910 transported in a converted mainstream trailer. That car was also staying at the same campground we were in Reston.

It was the same weekend that Porsche restorer located a local, damaged, 1952 America Roadster. Restorer and owned fir decades, he sold it a few years back to Wolfgang Porsche.

It wasn't until 1985 that I went back. Did my first DE there I spring of 1991, in the snow!

My folks bought used, in 1987, our neighbors 1984 928S, automatic. 234 go. Great touring car for sure. Similar to the one in the video.

Neat video and its how I picture SP even today

Does anyone use the terms Loop, Wagon Bend and Paddock Bend anymore? Maybe out of region guys that find those old maps on the internet, but its rare.
