Well, the PCA Werks Reunion at the Bayonet Golf Club in Seaside, CA was a terrific venue and wonderful event. The weather was about perfect- not real hot. The place was packed with people all having a wonderful time and being very respectful of the cars. I talked to so many people abut the 914-6 in general and my car specifically.

My car was well received by everyone. They had about 700 Porsches present, and about 200 of those were entered to be judged. I was in the 914/914-6 class (of course) and the 914 was the featured car of the event. I was honored to receive the 1st Place ribbon and award. I made sure to thank Kent Simmons, Jim Geer, Bob Fulton and Andy Thonet for making my dream come true. I also made sure to tell them my car is no garage/trailer queen with 5K miles on it in the past year. Here are a couple pictures, because as we know, without pictures, it did not happen.

OK, so I am the one in the blue T-shirt, the guy in the middle is the self-explanatory, and my brother Bob is on the other end. He has lived this journey with me and I was happy to have him by my side.

Cheers,
Michael
Congratulations, well deserved and what a beautiful job you have done and also driving it as it should be!
Dirk

Well deserved, Michael. It's been a long road, but I know it was worth it in the end.

Oh, come on. You know deep in your heart that the proper internet name is: "BEAT ARMY!"

Too many 800' combat jumps? I hated those. The Hollywood jumps were OK, but that's why I chose to go to Navy OCS when I returned to service.
