We have a local Cars 'n Coffee every Friday at 9:00 am and it draws a considerable crowd. Typically 50 cars or more. Great location with coffee shops and restaurants. Yesterday a beautifully restored '70 911S parked next me. I thought they looked good together. Then a really clean TR4 parked on my other side.

TR4s are my favorite Triumphs. Thanks for posting!

Forgot to mention, I switched my plates to the "Heritage" plates here in CA, which are black/yellow. Not period correct as they ended in 1969 I believe, but the black/yellow looks perfect on the car in my opinion. What say you?

Here's a vote for the black plates - I agree, they look right on that car.

It would probably look better if you repainted the car to match that yellow...

So sooner or later we all end up on a flatbed. Fortunately, my car was at my brother's home when it needed to be towed. Thankfully, for me, I had an expert tow truck operator who knew how to load and secure my car w/o damage of any kind. Turns out my coil failed. New coil installed and running perfectly again.

BTW, the tow truck was as clean as my car and the operator loved my car and took a ton of pictures to show his uncle who had a 914 about 30 years ago.
