FATT - 1972 911T - Video
Dorki's,
After a 12-year track hiatus, I decided to dip my toe back in the water at the FATT on Sunday. I was a slug out there but had a blast and it was damn nice to go over 100mph (albeit barely) again! Couple of quick thoughts: - I really appreciated the safe, yet casual, environment the BSR team provided. There was one fairly big impact in turn 2 and from what I saw everyone was super-quick to respond (driver and instructor were fine) - My instructors were great! All provided great feedback but it wasn't a big "CoachFest." All had similar; "you wont impress me" and "don't scare me" mentalities - I was blown away at how fast the cars are these days - so much HP! - I had my arm out the window a LOT. One of the goals was not to be the guy in the 115 hp car causing trains... - Most importantly, huge thanks to my wife and 18 month old daughter for making the drive from Arlington to watch "Dada" for a couple of the early run groups. Some great photos = timeless! Posting this video just for fun because the car is basically a time-machine; she still sounds great and looks good! I'm well aware that there are 100's of bad habits with my driving; can't heel/toe for $hit, leaning my body into the turns, lots of missed apexes, early on the brakes everywhere, in the wrong (high) gear for turns 1, 3, 5, 6, 10... plus 95 other issues! All that said, enjoy! The laps get a little quicker after the 7 minute mark once traffic clears a bit. |

Glad to see that beauty on track! Missed ya at autocross though.
Question about the cones in T10? They seemed placed in odd locations. First looked like a useful braking marker. What was the one way before track out for?
