However, this doesn't appear to be up to your standard....scratches on the console and there's some dirt on the plumbing above the gas pedal that won't pass the concourse committee.

Haha, the console is not complete, the rear cover is still missing.

Anyway, I got a few things done.

Finished the Targa top. Here are some pictures:

I had some issues with the right side front making some wrinkles.

Here with the headliner installed.

I did some adjusting and this is what it is now. I will leave it for now, an see how if it will change in either direction, when it sits in the sun or get colder. Will do some more adjustments or take it a part again.

The next thing was to finish the console. It has the Air/Fuel gauge, volt display, and USB connection from the radio, and a manual switch for the oil cooler fan.

Installed a customized hood badge.

I wanted to give the Frunk a nicer look, so I made some templates from cardboard. CAD (cardboard Aided Design)

I used 5mm plywood as base, and covered it with trunk carpet. Here are the pieces. They sit nice in place and are easy and quick removed if needed.

Here is it all installed.

I also finished the last pieces of the interior carpet.

Now I have to wait for DMV to get the plates. I sent the application 2 weeks ago. Nobody answers the phone, no ideal what's going on. It's like you send the stuff in a black hole.

Cheers
Engelbert

Those trunk inserts look great and really update the car to look more modern.

+1 on the trunk inserts, thanks for the pix.

I'm in the same boat with Richmond on the Volvo.

As an "older" guy, I hate to use this stuff, but the pictures of the front trunk inserts caused an "OMFG" statement. Absolutely wonderful work here!

There was another thing I needed to. The Battery mount. I used a IKEA cutting board, inserted four M6 rivnuts, and made the rest with the 3D printer.

Here are some pictures:

Here are a few pictures of the car, I drove it around the neighborhood.

Cheers
