Default it's a very sad day.

Our hobby has lost a true gentleman, scholar, and friend. Jim never turned his back to offer his help, support and genuine concern.

There is a tremendous void in our ranks...

Thank you to everyone who has added kind words about Jim. I am still in shock and it's been over a month now since he passed. I would like to ask for your help. I know Jim had some 914 part out there being worked on. I actually went with him to check on it a short while before his passing. I didn't go in and don't know exactly where we were. He said the fella had this part for a long time and hadn't gotten to it. Apparently someone else had taken something there and had a LONG wait as well. I any of you know what this is and where I go to get it, I know Jim would want me to pick it up and bring it home to his garage. Thanks for any insight. I'm baffled. I'm not real sure who has access to this post but please ask around if anyone knows what I'm talking about. Thanks, Barbara McLeod

Wish I could help, but I am sure someone on this board might have an idea, any clues as to where it might be close to, area of what town. Hope someone can help.

Barbara: I will be happy to volunteer to help you, but will need whatever info you might have. Helpful would be knowing the Porsche shops he did business with (any old invoices, etc.?). I know most if not all of the independent shops in No. Va. And have time available to track down the missing part. Feel free to call me directly to discuss. 703 239 1678. Jim was a great fellow; I worked with him as a DE tech fort several years. I am very sorry for your loss.

It is likely his engine case at intersport. Mine is still there. For some reason i thought he got it back though.

X2, and it sounds like Intersport should be contacted 1st. Rather than a bunch of calls how about Richard or I call them tomorrow? Richard, toss you for it or???

I work 20 seconds down the street. Let me know if I can help by stopping by or trucking parts around.

Thank you ... he has been wearing a shirt that said Intersport ever since my daughter in law told him he was in serious need of new clothes since he lost so much weight from the surgeries. That sounds like a place to check. The other name I found was Allied Machine???
Oh Jim, I should have paid more attention!

Allied Machine....was it in Falls Church? Sort of near Don Beyer? ( I think that's where it was when I used them).

I think your in good hands with Richard and David on the case. Again, my condolences.
