I had some wheel work done by Bob Rockwood over at Eisenhower Ave, Alexandria: rrockwood@kwicksilverusa.com

Nice work and was reasonable.

I'd like to know which type of wheel (fuchs, phone dials, cookies) they widened and approximate cost?

Default Update for Wheel refinishing

This thread was the latest one that came up in "Search". Does anyone have any newer or updated advice on where to get a pretty bad case of curb rash repaired?

TIA

Stephen

Looked around myself last week to have two Cup I wheels fixed. I talked to several people, and this guy Mike in Linthicum Heights MD was the most down to earth and sounded like a seasoned pro. I will get my wheels back this week from him and update. He travels under the name Wheel Worx 410-969-7282

I had a set of Forgelines I bought had refinished at Ye Old Wheel Shop and to match stock wheel colors and they did a fanatastic job. I then had them repair a scrape on one of the stock wheels and spot repair matched paint perfectly I could not tell where the scrape was.
I have another set there right now, a set of 996 Turbo Twists. They are not great at staying in touch to let you know when they are done, etc. We agreed on 3-4 weeks, and I just showed up and they were done.

One of the Forgelines was bent slightly and the seller had it repaired by Forgeline factory but Ye Old immediately noticed the bend was not repaired completely and fixed it again.

Does anyone have recent pricing for getting wheels refinished from these shops?

I got a quote from a shop not on here for 250 for factory finish and 350 for custom per wheel. That seems pretty high.

I would ask Paul at Radial. Or I can ask him, I'm headed there today to get a front wheel straightened (thanks BWIparkway!) and new shoes for the daily
