959 on E-bay
Here is something you don't see everyday, a 959 up for auction on e-bay. Does anyone have $275K I can borrow?

Way overpriced compared to Europe. There was one in Porsche 911 World for 112k euros last month. In the June issue of Classic and Sports Car there are two--a red one for 115k pounds, 6,850 mi. on the clock, and an unbelievable buy, a wine/maroon one for only 100k pounds with only 3,850 km on it. Even with the weak dollar, those are way under U.S. prices. Considering the mileage, they are not even broken in. I understand the govt waivers for import and use now are much easier to come by. The only good thing to come out of this administration.

I may have to revise my wish list. Found out the 959 has a WATER-COOLED head. I may still get one, but we'll have to swap in an air-cooled turbo. What will a 959 engine bring on ebay?

Yeah, buy the car and dump the engine. I might be able to squeeze out a couple $k for it so I can drop it into "Dino". Lu's commented in the past that Dino's not very fast.
