The price is a steal. Someone should grab this. if I had $7500 burning a hole in my wallet, I would be planning a trip to Stroudsburg to pick it up. Considering a salvage yard 3.2 will pull $5K this sounds like a no brainer.

I'm sure he has lots of interest (since it's posted on Pelican Parts too)...I've put my name on the list of those interested.

If I was lucky enough to get it, I'd jump in and go pick it up.

Still waiting on dyno results from Peter Dawe, but it looks like I bought myself an engine (and for those of you who didn't notice the yellow type, saying I got it for $5500 was a late April Fool's joke - although I believe I offered less than the engine is worth -- what I offered was FULL PRICE!

Cool, when are you going to pick it up? Or is he shipping it to your door?

Probably pick it up on my SECOND trip to NY in mid-May, but haven't discussed with the seller yet (and haven't finalized the deal until I see dyno numbers).

It'd probably be cheaper to drive up and pick it up...not sure what freight on an engine costs these days though.

I'm having heart palpitations seeing you - Dr K - write that you offered full asking price for that engine. There must be additional negotiations in there somewhere. Is he delivering the engine to MD and installing it for you as well? Perhaps buying you lunch in the process?

There were half a dozen people in line, likely ahead of me. My guess is they were offering $6800 for an engine Peter Dawe had assured me was worth every penny of $7500, and that the prior owner was the one who had put the money into the rebuild (and was a personal friend of Peter's), so Caesar wasn't the one out the rebuild money. He backdated the car to a '74 RSR and is putting a 3.6 in in now - sound familiar, Scott?
