changing out the fronts on my land cruiser and need a heavy duty/truck spring compressor, loan or rent ...thanks

I've done it in the garage, but for not much money I brought the whole struts to a shop that had a pro stand-up one, and they did it in SECONDS! Would never use the home spring compressor again.

I have used the loaner tools from advanced auto. For the bigger springs, I have used 2 sets (3-4 clamps) just to be on the safe side.
