Default What's everybody doing to pass the time in the Blizzard ?

Hope everybody is doing OK here in the Blizzard of '03.

Anybody doing anything fun to pass the time?

Besides playing outside with my oldest son I spent about 5 hours in the garage today buidling my new shelving system along the back wall. I should have everything wrapped up tomorrow and there is nothing like a little organization

Stay warm and don't worry, Spring is only 33 days a way.

I am soooo stuck in NJ right now. I almost tried to make it back to VA today, but thought better of it. I saw a 944 sliding all over the place on Rt. 31 in Hopewell. Also saw a Boxster limping along Rt. 1 in Princeton. Glad I left me 911 under the cover in VA.

Default Sooooo stuck in Western, MD mountains....

I've been out at Deep Creek and the family'd been planning to ski, but we can't get there (3 miles). We're cabin bound right now, and the wind is probably a steady 25 mph, making shovelling pretty much a waste of time.

I'll probably tie some flies for fishing and then board and card games for the day with the kids.

Lu and I slept in late. I'll shovel the driveway this morning, even though the street hasn't been plowed since the snowfall started. After that, I'll finish the carpet replacement in Lu's E. Then, it's (rented) movie time!

Charlie:

I think that you can hold the fan with an 8 mm hex head that goes into the fan/alt shaft and turn the nut off witha 22mm box.

Doug: Went to look at a crapped out '71 911S . . . yes an S. Someone had put turbo or RSR flares all around, and webers on the 2.2. Problem is that it had not run in 4 years, and the chassis looked like it would break in half if the jacking holes were used.

Now out to shovel some snow

hmmmm.....a 22mm (gotta verify) box is something I can get relatively easily if my favorite HW store is open today. Shovel the walk and take a leisurely walk down to the store. Sounds like a decent cure for the cabin fever that will inevitably set in. Now, i cant get distracted by all the other pretty looking tools sitting behind the glass......just ONE wrench today and mabye a snow tube or two

-Charlie (who finally found something to do)

Charlie, I've got a fan pully wrench that you're welcome to .... if you're able to come get it. Don't think I'm going anywhere today.
