Default Crankshaft holding tool

Looking to borrow or buy a tool to hold crankshaft for reassembly. I have been eyeing the one Stromski sells, but given I will only need it once in a blue moon I would rather not sink the money into it.

Thanks,
David

I made a very simple one and it worked - posted it on Dorkiphus long ago (10 years?). You're welcome to borrow but in the time to drive from South Riding and back you could make one, although I MIGHT be up at Summit Point next weekend. Stubby screwdriver and fingertips for size.

Default Crankshaft holder

Thanks for your offer and idea Peter. For now I think I will proceed with the re-assembly of the rods on to the crankshaft by attaching it to the flywheel and standing it vertically. I've seen a lot of positive results doing it in that manner.

Regards,
David
