Nice. The top turned out very well. I like the look - no trim around the bottom needed IMO.

You poly'ed the inside, didn't you

mmmm...verry sexy. that's gonna put out well beyond one point twenty one jigawatts for sure.

btw,
while figuring out what furniture goes where in my new place, i've been arranging things w/ an eye out for a possible location for a 2nd system centered around the zen amp.

Poly? Surely you jest... I would have thought the audiophiles would have you on hanged, drawn, and quartered for using anything but a hand rubbed shelac or laquer finish Poly will color the sound... (Though, I dont know what "amber" sounds like.)

Looks nice. I'll go back under my rock and play FLACs on big solid state stuff

FWIW, the rca/radiotron designers handbook is avail on CD. My dad bought me a copy a few years back when he wanted his paper version back. If you do tubes, you need a copy.

by the way, if anyone is looking for an entry level turntable, czech company, "project" has been getting stellar reviews for the last 4-5 years. the "debut" model has nothing in that price range that even comes close! it's bare bones simple but very clean.

BTDT... It's one of the main reasons I don't get into this stuff personally. Not enough high end hearing left to tell the difference.
