Machine Shops
I'm looking for a local (DC/VA/MD/DE) machine shop familiar with the particular problems of early mag cases. I need to get my cases checked out (main bearing alignment, maybe get the oil pump mod done, etc.) and possibly bored out for 2.7s. No one at Pelican seems to know, but there must better way than sending everything out to Calif.
Thanks. David Porter Glyndon MD |

Try Autothority On Pickett Rd. in Fairfax. They have a website too, but you'll probably need to talk to them. They're pretty high tech. They designed and manufactured a very popular mass air flow kit. I don't know about their expertise with the real early cars, but they did a great job bringing my 85 up to speed right after I bought it.

The guys at RPM know all about these early cases. Talk to either Stan or Bill. They don't do the machine work but should be able to help with your decision.
They can be reached at 703.550.8240 |
