The Prodigy P2 brake controller on my folks 1999 chevy silverado is giving the tester some interesting feedback. On manual mode we are getting the expected results indicating it works fine. However, when just using the brakes the tester is showing that it is not functioning properly. Brake lights come up just fine.

Next step is to find/borrow a trailer and see what happens. Guy with the tester said it could be a bad ground on the tester or possibly the 7 way plug on the back, but then not sure why it would read fine for the manual operation.

Any thoughts?
