-Machine set up and troubleshooting.
-Welding techniques
-Patch Panels
-Thicker steel welding like for chassis reinforcement or roll bars.
-AC Mig welding ... Spool gun or equivalent.

Ill pass it along. Keep them coming.

I'm signed up for the class in Berryville, but there's only so much I can learn at one time, so before or after that class (all I've every done is my tire rack) I'd love some more experience with guidance. Body work (sheet metal) would be great - the only way to fix rust right. I'm not looking to ever be as good as Kurt or Engelbert, but would like to be able to look at their threads and think "I can do some of that."

Reviving an old thread... So did this ever lead to a class?

Being in Loudoun county, you could look into the adult Ed classes offered. Don’t know if it is still available but I took a very good welding class at Monroe Tech in Leesburg. This was an evening class for a couple hours once a week for ~8 weeks. Lots of practice and cheap too! You do need to figure out when registration opens and sign up right away.

I took that class at Monroe too, it was a good intro. Unfortunately, with the move of Monroe Tech to the Loudoun Academies I don't think it is offered anymore - at least it is not in the Adult Education spring 2019 catalog. Shame too because the facilities at the Loudoun Academies are really top notch.

Bringing this one back. My buddies sanitary welding business got crazy busy up not long after posting the thread. I was swamped building the garage and when I was not building it I spent more time at sea then home, lol. If there is interest over the winter I can try to form another class for those who would be interested. Most likely wont happen any sooner then that as I have a sliver of summer before I head to Singapore again for work. Those whom would be interested just PM me your contact so I have if it happens.

The idea behind this is it wouldn't be a vo-tech style class like you would have at a junior college. Small classes with more one and one time.
