Um... no...

Actually, I forget how exactly I got that, but I do remember it was legitimate. I think I got it when I was doing work-study for the department, working with the guys that maintained all of the labs. This was from an older Microcontrollers class that used some weird backplane type thing on top of the PS (that I promptly removed).

So cool! What a great application. Microcontrollers are getting CHEAP nowadays; I recently bought an Arduino for $35 to make a datalogger out of it (too bad the shock pots are going for like $200 a pop).


How about a Phase 2 for Connectivity Espresso Chronograph Enablement (CECE): add in a bluetooth transmitter to the microcontroller and integrate it with your smart phone. Then write a new alarm clock app to accompany the START of the espresso machine to some user-configurable timeframe after the alarm goes off?!



Or you can take the old-school approach and build a Rube Goldberg. I kinda vote the latter.
