Default Inexpensive paint work?

I have a 2001 Miata where the clear coat on the front bumper has failed. I was rear ended in April, got it fixed and over the corse of the summer the front has failed. Someone suggested that maybe a bad response before failed when the rewar was curing. Who knows. But it sits outside and rain got under the top edge and it’s now falling off a hug section.

It’s an old car and not worth much so I don’t want to pay a lot to get it painted,. Any suggestions?

VaSteve. There is a chop shop behind my old office building that does really good work. They are off the grid so to speak. Several co-workers have used them all with excellent results. PM me if interested.
For the record when I say "chop shop" what I mean is they buy wrecked police cars and turn them into cabs using donor cars. Gives you new found confidence right?

Sounds like good guys to know.

I've also had great experience with both rattle can and brush/roller. By great results I mean that you can't tell from more than 20 ft away and the car doesn't rust (from the body at least). I bet if you prepped like the guy in the video you'd even get a 5 fter paint job.
