I'll go ahead and give up my spot for AX School. I'll be at AX #1 to put names to faces, but I think I've figured out how AX works at this point.

Some more driving instruction would be fun, but Ima go light my hair on fire at Dominion instead...

Thanks Steve! I just let the next lucky person in line know.

Uh oh... so there is another excuse to do more DE and less AX with those groups, I guess. I want to do MY best, but some of the metrics are seemingly one sided unless you are a Leh Keene or similar.

I don't mind helping in Right Seat. I will see if AX is too much, but I am hungry for more!

At least I remembered to order the new brake pads for the Sunny Day car.

Ken - I have no idea what you are trying to say. If you want to measure yourself simply co-drive with someone who is faster. Car classes won't matter.

Surprised I'm the one rekindling this thread but feel like Jim and Lara deserve an appropriate shout-out. Aside from a few glitches, AutoX #1 went off without a hitch. Congrats on your maiden voyage as AutoX-Chair's!

Felt lucky to sneak a top-10 but know it was only because the rain came halfway through heat #2. Thanks to Vranko, thelittlemrs, BillC (appreciated the tip) and my young cousin Jack who rode along with me... thanks also to Mr. Clay for the opportunity to ride in a "luxury" vehicle and to Handlebar who always had encouraging words for me as the starter (but how am I supposed to get my game-face on when you're saying such nice things - ha!)

Stosser, great job as always. Grrrr, you know exactly what I'm talking about! I sincerely appreciate our subtle, yet fierce P1 competition. Though admittedly, you've had my number since the white-car came along. I look forward to many more later this year (and beyond) when "life stuff" doesn't get in our way!

Quick request for the Chair-Couple for next time: no rain. It's Tuesday and I'm still not dry...

Y'all do know that Jim and Steve are the chairs, right?

But as the saying goes, behind every 3 dozen great men, there is an amazing woman.

My favorite moment of the day? Riding with you Bhunt! I am still giggling!!! Does that car ever slap you back? Holy cow what a ride.

I will not admit to yelling "YOLO!" during my last run in the rain...

Funny how many were commenting how nice the day was turning out to be and that rain was expected much, much later! Mother nature changed her mind, though...

Thanks Brooks!

Its fun having close competition in class! Its fun seeing a couple of 45+ year old cars out there kicking butt! Didn't realize how close we ended up though at first. Running back to back its hard to know since I was on course before you finished. Looking forward to seeing you out there again this season.

Nice, fun, open course.. just needed to peddle harder. I can't say I was sad it rained in the afternoon, but by then, the fast guys were posting really good times (Vranko, BillC etc)

Slap me back? No shot. What you don't know is that during the week I only drive her while wearing ill-fitting, much-washed, wife-beater-tank-tops with mustard stains. Therefore, she always behaves on the weekends. (that humor too dark for dorkiphus??)

Kidding aside, thanks for the kind words - glad ya had fun.
