Default CTEK Battery question

Is there a specific CTEK charger I should be looking for, for my 13 Boxster? I have seen there are so many variations.
All I know I want one with the cigarette adapter.

Dont buy a ctek, I have 3 at work(Porsche branded) that don't work with modern Porsches. it might work fine with yours. I bought a $79 battery tender brand one and it is great.

It does not have a cig lighter attachment. We haven't had much luck with those unless they are 997.2 and before.

I bought 2 of those. connect to the posts. they are inexpensive and work well.

Problem for me is that I have to take a number of pieces off to get access to the battery.
Also I don't know if I would be able to close the lid with the cable in the way.

I use this Battery Tender with the cigarette lighter adapter. Works great. Yes, you have to leave the window cracked or shut the door on the cable, but I've seen no long term impact on the weatherstripping.

CTEK makes a nice bulkhead connector port that I wish Battery Tender had. If someone with the skills could fab one up, you could run it to the wheel well or bumper and not have to worry about shutting the hood or door. There are a few generics though that may do the trick.

I saw that unit at Battery Plus and looking at other maintainers and the question came up as how much is the 13 Boxster drawing when turned off.
Your Tender says 1.25A is that enough to keep the battery at a full charge?
I will be away for 6 mos.

I used it on my 08 Cayman S over the course of a 7.5mo deployment some years back and had no issues. The car was driven *maybe* twice during that time by my parents, but mostly sat in the garage.
