Default Coleman Racing custom 2-piece rotors

I considered getting GiroDisc but was put off by the price. A couple people suggested Coleman Racing to me, and I wound up buying custom-made two-piece vented rotors from them. Basically, exactly like what GD makes, but much cheaper. They can make single-piece, fixed 2-piece, or floating 2-piece. You can custom specify exactly how you want them to make them, or you can do what I did- send them a used OEM (single-piece) rotor, which they then precision measure and use as a template. I've been using PF08 pads for about 1.5 years, and they've worked very well with both the OEM and Coleman rotors. Almost everyone who rides with me comments on how good the car brakes. Only thing I can't yet report on is longevity; I've only had them on for two events so far.

Ignore the discoloration in the pictures.

so you had custom floating rotors made as a direct replacement for oem rotors?

just how much does this cost?

can they then reporduce the discs on demand, keeping your specs on file or something?

Yes, they keep the specs on file and you can re-order when desired. There is a lead time; they recommend at least a month, because they only do runs on each thing (hats, friction rings) every so often.

I had custom fixed rotors made. I opted not to get floating.

For me, with my 718S fronts, it was:

2x $273/ea = $546 for a pair of (aluminum) hats
4x $208/ea = $832 for four (two sets) iron friction rings, including $24/ea for venting
$13 for nuts, bolts, and washers
$78 freight
---------
$1487 total

The aluminum hats are expected to last multiple friction rings, and each additional pair of friction rings (with hardware, venting, and freight) should cost roughly $475 (my estimate, not from Coleman). If I recall correctly, GD friction rings cost ~$800/pair plus shipping.

I didn't weigh them before install and the only set of hats I have are on the car, so I don't have a good way to answer. Sorry.
