my new to me cayman came equiped with a built in radar/laser detector

there are sensors on the front and rear of the car, and inside there is a control panel and a display panel

it is tied into the electical system somewhere

i turned it off, because it was alerting all over the place and i hate the noise

I'd just pull the fuse if it has dedicated power, or disconnect power at the unit.

Just hand the cop the wiring diagram and tell him you pay his salary. Should go well from there.
