Default 944 timing belt tool

Anyone use the 920Xv6 Timing Belt Tensioning Tool from Arnnworx? Whats the right tool to use now, assuming I dont have the factory tension gauge?

thanks

I have never used that tool before but it works using the same principal as the factory tool that I have by pushing down and measuring the amount of flexion of the belt between to fixed points. Arnworx makes good stuff so I'm sure it works fine. For reference, I bought my Porsche gauge in the box with the calibration tool for $200 off ebay many years ago and I see them pop up from time to time.

Excellent, thanks for the feedback. I poked around the site and it seems like nice stuff, good to hear I'm not just drinking the kool aid.

Arnworx has been around a while. About 12 years ago he sent me a prototype to test...I wasn't quick enough on my project and he went into production without my valuable advice.

I have not bought one. I still use the little click thing but had planned to buy something better the next time I did this project.

I have an older version that I bought back in '08 or so and it gets regular use (both for my car and on others). It's a well-made product and has paid for itself several times over.

No experience with the new ones, tho.
