Default FS: 2001 996 Turbo 6 speed

Sold.

It's time to start downsizing.

Silver 2001 996 Turbo. 67K miles. 6 speed manual.

Car has been lowered by previous owner. I believe with H&R springs.

I replaced the awful factory stereo/GPS with a Pioneer head unit and new amplifier several years ago just after I got it. It has Michelin PS2s all around. Fronts are about 5/32 and rears are about 8/32s. I use only Mobile 1. It has a sunroof and black interior. Power seats with driver side seat memory.

Known issues: front wheel drive is not working. I don't know if it was disabled by previous owner or defective. Rear wing is low on fluid and has very small leak so it doesn't raise all the way up. Last time I topped it off was more than 5 years ago .

I purchased it in April of 2008 with 32K miles. It was my daily driver before I retired 3 1/2 years ago weather permitting.

$35,000

Nice. Been thinking about one of these.

Any issues with 2nd gear pop out?

Coolant lines addressed?

Never had any popout issues. Coolant lines are original. I had a discussion recently with Matt at Intersport and he told me its only an issue with track cars or high temperature climates. I thought about doing them anyway but then I would raise the price.

Thanks! It's been a great car for the 12 years or so that I've owned it. But since I retired, I just don't drive it as much and I still have my 87 turbo-look Carrera. I think someone will really enjoy it.

Curious about the front wheel drive component. Have you had any shop comment on it at all? I'm curious if it has any impact on other components of the vehicle.

I didn't know it wasn't working until a while back Ivan at IMA asked if he could dyno it to get a baseline for 996 turbos and the front didn't drive. As I've read on various forums, it's common to disconnect, remove or otherwise disable and convert to rear drive only like a GT2. I don't know if any of that was done or if its just broke. The front diff has not been removed. We discussed maybe fixing it but never got around to it. When I got the car 12 years ago, I bought it on ebay and it appears that the car was a repo before buying from the dealer that I got it from so I don't have any history before that. Doesn't seem to have any negative effects. There are no warning lights or check engine lights and the PSM seems to work fine.
