What's the best way to ship a spoiler
From DC to NC. I've shipped wheels etc, but never a fragile tail. What shipper comes recommended? I figure I could pack it in a huge box with tons of styrofoam, or even double box it. Just want to ensure it gets to the buyer safely.
TIA.

My recommendation would be to take it to a bonafide UPS or FedEx office, and pay the extra to have them pack it for shipping. That way, when you purchase insurance for the shipping, both you and the shipper are on the same page about what's being shipped, and they will assume more responsibility for the safe passage of your item. Make it clear that you NEED the item packaged for safe delivery. Then if something should happen to it enroute, your insurance claim back to them will be bolstered by the fact that they packed it for you, including picking the box and packing material. Make sure your insurance covers the cost of replacement or Class A repair of it.

First, you buy the UPS driver some McDonald's Gift Cards. Then you buy them a six pack of beer - mass market at first, then a good craft brew. Then, a case of wine. Finally, a case of scotch.
Oh. I thought you said, "spoil a shipper." ed

UPS didn't have a box to fit so I ended up at Fedex. They did an amazing job packaging the spoiler. It was wrapped several times in bubblewrap. Then on either end the put took these plastic bags out and started beating them on the counter. I was like WTH are the doing. They then quickly held them in place at the corners, and the plastic like bags began to form a shape. This was done at both ends, after which is was placed in the box. The bags were very hot. They used same plastic bags alongs the sides filling in the gaps. The cost for the box and packaging came up to $42 dollars. However shipping is $400 so I'm waiting to hear back from the buyer.

Had a rear bumper cover shipped to me on a Greyhound bus. I was skeptical but price was right for a large item, $150 (Chicago to Balt). Seller double layered it in bubble wrap (no box) and it arrived quickly with no issue. You have to drop off and pick up at a Greyhound terminal.
