"Jeeze, we even let the 912's and the 914's play"

HAR HAR! and you all still can't get away even with 2 "extra" cyls.

I spent the last fun run day putting the front of my house back together after a tree fell on/in it courtesy of Isabel.

Yup, RL is correct ... we once stumbled upon a 944 while we were out "testing" some roads and he did hang with us for awhile. Other then that, nada one has joined in on the fun

BTW, don't let Justin fool anybody: with that 6 in there he is always at the front of the pack. In fact, I seem to recall one time that Dan, RL and Justin missed a turn on a FR because they were so far out in front :P

That was my short lived leading experience RL and I were taking turns leading, its not easy task to read the map, look for signs and maintain a steady 80...... That was also the run where RL was burning lots of oil, I was running rich and dropping extra fuel, poor Dan was just stuck in the chemical haze....... He probably has no memory of the rest of the run.....

Well I guess I'll have to be the first then!
In the area I rarely ever see another 944 (and I look), however I routinely see 911's of all types.

I'm going to have to check in here more often, I spend most of my allocated Internet-Porsche time at Rennlist. Any Rennlister's here?

Thanks for the welcome! I'm looking forward to meeting you guys!

Spend most of my time on Pelican...well, and Dorkiphus.

I have just the opposite experience. I never see 911's but see an ass ton of 944's. I wave and flash headlights and get looked at like I have some sort of communicable disease. It is very 911 thin in Alexandria. I could move to Fairfax County but then I would have to get a carbon fiber cupholder for my latte...

Watch it with the cup holder cracks or you might find yourself engineless

And I thought those cupholder cracks were only reserved for us 996 types. See - we ARE an all inclusive group!!

There are a ton of 911s in Alexandria! It's just that most of them spend 364 days a year in the garage

There are a couple of them on my street, but I have never socialized with any of the owners because I am scared to venture onto their 'compounds!' A guy across the street had a pretty hot 930, but he moved away about 6 months ago. He never came over to say 'hi' while I was out messing with my cars, and he had no interest in talking about cars the one time I caught him outside with his car (it was usually always buried deep in his garage).

Carbon fiber cup folders are sooo last year. I'm having PCNA custom fabricate one out of a kevlar/ceramic composit, with an integrated cell phone holder! All of us "upper crusters" here in Fairfax know you NEVER drink your morning latte without using your cell phone while running red lights.

Good news! Silly me I never thought the 924T would jeopardize my membership! As to how hard it is to “drop”. I’ll let you all know after Saturday, I hope to pull the 924T motor & trans. But not together the torque tube gets in the way.
